President Igor Dodon had a meeting with a well-known composer, People’s Artist of the Soviet Union, holder of the Order of the Republic, Man of the 20th Century in the United States Eugen Doga today, when the National Culture day is marked, the presidential press service has reported.   

During the meeting, the sides exchanged opinions on the situation in Moldova, especially in the culture sector. Igor Dodon informed Eugen Doga that, just as decision-makers had earlier agreed, 700 sets of CDs with Doga’s work were made, which are to be distributed to the libraries and schools of Moldova.

The head of state voiced confidence that this initiative would contribute to the promotion and perpetuation of the highly valuable works of composer Eugen Doga. “We are obliged to promote the values meant to strengthen the feeling of pride of the Moldovan nation and the devotion for the work of the native artists,” Igor Dodon said.
